ADAM BRICUSSE Desert Dreamings

The Cat Street Gallery is pleased to host the first exhibition in Hong Kong by Southern Exchange, curated by Georgie Bruce.
Desert Dreamings offers a fresh insight into the history and contemporary life of three of Australia’s leading Indigenous communities, Papunya Tula, Warlukurlangu and Utopia, with each work drawing on biographical accounts of an artist’s life, revealing the diversity of their Aboriginal experience in colonized Australia.
This eclectic exhibition of works by some of Australia’s most collectable artists is part of a renaissance of translating traditional symbolism with striking modern colour whilst staying true to their Aboriginal heritage.
These artists will be exhibited for the first time in Hong Kong and will bring a new understanding and appreciation to their audience, the continually evolving international Australian Aboriginal art movement of today.
