UK based, Chinese artist Jacky Tsai creates elaborate visual collages by meshing the beauty and elegance of traditional Eastern illustration and the amusing side of Western Pop art. A never-ending source of imagination, he comes back to his creations by constantly changing his mediums and draw on his own experience to create pieces which are innovative and striking.
Born in Shanghai, Jacky Tsai completed his BA at the Chinese Academy of Art, and his MA at Central Saint Martins, London. He has exhibited internationally and was quick to make an impact on the fashion world with his iconic Floral Skull design made for Alexander McQueen. He since then has been commissioned for a number of prestigious luxury fashion projects including Harvey Nichols, Shanghai Tang and most recently Lane Crawford in Hong Kong last year. He has also set up his own fashion label to fuse high art with fashion.
Tsai has exhibited widely including Hong Kong, Singapore, United Kingdom and India.
